She primarily uses oil paints to convey in her works the\r\ntextured joy of various scenes whether they be interior spaces or portraiture. Using\r\nthe traditional printmaking process which applies water based ink on handmade\r\nJapanese washi paper, Mia O. modernizes the craft using geometric and linear shapes\r\nto convey movement and transparency.\r\nShe received her BFA in Fine Arts from Hong-ik University, Seoul, Korea and her MFA\r\nin Painting from Pratt Institute School of Art in New York.
